How Do I Go Back to Internet Explorer 10

Suggest you check "About IE 10" and remove the check mark from install new versions automatically.  Will prevent you from having to do it again.

I followed the first few steps, but when I look for the update for internet explorer nothing shows up. All of the updates say "Update for Microsoft Windows" so I'm not sure which one is for internet explorer. When I search under installed updates for internet explorer it says no items match my search. How do I find the update so I can uninstall it? Thanks!

My computer did an automatic update about a week ago to windows 8.1

Since then I can't access my work program on internet explorer. So I'm trying to revert back to the older version of explorer but I'm not having any luck finding the update to uninstall. Do I need to be running windows 7, and how do I do that? Thanks for your help!

  • Windows 7 can run IE8, 9, 10 or 11.
  • Windows 8 can run IE10.
  • Windows 8.1 can only run IE11.
